Foreign Production Insurance

This type of insurance program provides all-risk protection for productions shot outside of the United States and Canada, but is produced by U.S.-based filmmakers.

To be eligible, the production must have a budget of at least $300,000 and last up to 90 days in total production time, from pre-production, production, to post-production. Of course, the location for the shooting must be outside of the United States or Canada. The only negative qualifier to this type of insurance program is that is must NOT have stunts and NOT use pyrotechnics.

We do however have a special program available at a higher price that would cover the above restrictions.

Our foreign production insurance spans property insurance to liability indemnification, specifically:

  • Physical damage by hired and non-owned automobiles
  • Worker's compensation
  • Rented equipment, props, sets, wardrobe
  • Negative film or faulty stocks
  • General liability
